Sarah Bain brings a two-decades long career in communications, public affairs and government relations to her role at ECP.

Sarah has provided strategic communications counsel to leading corporations and associations, to elected and senior government officials and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s).  She helps clients navigate public engagement and policy issues in a range of sectors including health, cannabis, research, infrastructure, transportation and rural affairs. Her knowledge of the political landscape and her depth of communications experience provide her a unique perspective to help drive successful outcomes for clients.

Sarah has served on the boards of Famous5 Ottawa and Women in Communications and Technology (WCT), organizations that promote, engage and inspire women to build networks and achieve leadership in Canada.  Through this volunteer experience, Sarah received the Ontario Government’s Leading Women and Girls Building Communities Award.

Sarah has held many positions inside government and in party politics, and is a regular political strategist and commentator, on CTV Power Play, and other networks (CBC, Radio Canada, CPAC). In 2017, Sarah was named among the top 100 lobbyists by The Hill Times from a pool of over 5,000 registered lobbyists. She has also been invited to speak on conference panels in Canada and Europe.

 Sarah is fluently bilingual (English/French) and holds an Honours Bachelor degree from the University of Ottawa, which included an International Exchange at l’Université de Picardie, France. She completed the Queen’s University, Smith School of Business Executive MBA Program in 2021. 

 

Sarah completed the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Foundations in Effective Public Participating training program in 2021.
